Belize dollar (BZD) is the currency in Belize

Belize dollar is the currency used in Belize and was introduced in 1973 replacing the Brittish Honduras dollar. The Belize dollar has a fixed currency rate to US dollars at 0.5 and is handled by the Central Bank of Belize - CBBe with main office in Belize City.

Belize, formerly called British Honduras, is located in Central America with borders to Guatemala, Mexico and the Caribbean Sea. Belize was until 1973 a British colony but declared independancy not until 1981.
