The Taka is the currency of the asian country Bangladesh. The currency was introduced in 1972 and replaced the pakistanian rupee and was given it's name after the sanskrit word for silver. The currency is given out by the Bangladesh Bank / Bānlādeś Byānk - BB with main office in Dhaka.
