Azerbaijani manat is the currency used in Azerbajdzjan, Asia. The currency was introduced in 2006 and replaced the older manat from 1992, which in turn replaced the russian rubel. The currency is handled by the National Bank of Azerbaijan / Azərbaycan Milli Bankı - NBA, which has the main office in Baku.
