Finland is a republic in norther Europe with borders to Norway, Sweden, Estonia and Russia. The country joined the European Union in 1995 and introduced Euro as currency in 2002. The economy relies mostly on electronics (Nokia), forestry and industry. The capital of Finland is Helsinki with around 600 000 inhabitants.
