Riel (KHR) is the currency in Cambodia

Cambodian riel was introduced as currency in Cambodia in 1980 replacing the former riel used between 1952-1975. During the civil was 1975-1980 Cambodia lacked a working currency. The currency is issued by the National Bank of Cambodia.

Cambodia is a country in Southeast Asia that borders Thailand to the west and northwest. Cambodia's per capita income is rapidly increasing, but is low compared to other countries in the region. The tourism industry is the country's second-greatest source of hard currency after the textile industry.
